Main character is a pearl hunter. His name is Kino. Almost everyone know that money can’t buy everything, and in this novel author demonstrates this situation. Juana says that if they will not destroy the pearl, the pearl will destroy them.
At the beginning of the novel scorpion bites his son, so he needed money for treatment. He decided to get one pearl. Then the pearl played the role of money for treatment.
But when Kino wanted to find the pearl, he finds something much better, he finds the pearl of the world. The pearl is huge and it doesn’t have a price. From this moment, the pearl plays a huge role in the life of kino. Just to save the pearl from the thief, he killed a man. Later he realized that because of the pearl he has a lot of trouble.
Author teaching us the moral lessons. Money can’t buy our happiness. While reading you can see that Kino had a lot of problems because of the pearl. So in “The Pearl” we can learn a lot of new information and moral lessons.
In the end, he decided to throw the pearl back into the ocean so that everyone would live happily ever after.

But in this novel, people from church control society. They saying that if you will not give them donations, you will be sinner, and you will live with evil. Author doesn’t show religion like something good.
